Fashion is more than just clothing; it’s a form of expression, an art, and a way to tell stories. I’m Chrisna de Bruyn, a Fashion Stylist with over 20 years of immersive experience in the industry, and I am passionate about bringing stories to life through style.

Having recently drawn inspiration from the vibrant culture of Brazil, I continue to explore how global influences blend with local narratives in fashion. As the founder of AFRICA IS NOW, I’ve created a digital space that highlights the rich cultural tapestry of our continent, showcasing emerging talents from South Africa and Africa.

My work in the film and television industry as a Stylist and Art Director allows me to embrace creativity and collaboration fully. I love teaming up with talented professionals to craft visually beautiful narratives that resonate with audiences.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible photographers and directors, contributing my styling expertise to coveted publications like Kinfolk, Vogue US, Vanity Fair Italia, Wallpaper, Centrefold, Polanski, and VMAN, and more. Collaborating with photographers, Michael Oliver Love, Travys Owen, Kristin Lee Moolman, Ulrich Knoblauch, Trevor Stuurman, Henrik Purienne, Tatenda Chidora, Misha Taylor, Francois Visser, Antonia Steyn, Betina du Toit, M, Andrea Baioni, Natasja Fourie, Kevin Mackintosh, Ricardo Simal, Thomas Lohr, Mark Newton, James Meakin, Katinka Bester, Dennis Swiatkowski, Steve Tanchel, Luke Kuisis, has allowed me to grow and evolve, pushing the boundaries of my craft.
